The John West time machine - thanks for sharing this rare gem! 127 was actually the infamous Gettysburg engine, CP #1278, that "blew up". Part of the original Steamtown collection, she moved around a bit finally being traded with the Gettysburg Railroad for their CN #3254 - imagine that? After the firebox crown sheet failure at Gettysburg she was sold to the Ohio Central where she is awaiting restoration.

#127 was F. Nelson Blount's (Steamtown founder) personal engine. This photo would have been taken only a few months after his death, in August of 1967. Great catch!

A few of the tracks remain, one main and several sidings, owned by Carbon County and operated by Reading & Northern (route of the Lehigh Gorge Scenic). The turntable and several related sidings are (or were until recently..?) owned by George Hart. This has been home base for his Rail Tours operation since about 1970, and his locomotives and coaches are stored there at this time (Dec. 2007).
