As I recall (I was standing next to my dad when took this picture), those two gentlemen arrived together. Based on their having three cameras going, I would assume they were shooting to show, not just for themselves. Hopefully someone will recognize them.

The framing of this shot is excellent, the way the folks trackside provide a natural frame to the locomotive. The men facing the opposite direction is a nice touch, too, but I wonder if they wished they had turned around for the GP9. It's like waiting for the NS F units today and letting a trio of B32-8s or GP50s pass on a train without shooting them, too.
