It remains a lot of memory that will be restored at the same time.

The SP was, of course, on the ground level here, and those umbrella sheds on the upper level were for platforms used by SP's Interurban Electric suburban lines, which used cars similar in appearance to Pacific Electric Blimps. On my first trip west, in 1968, I was fortunate enough to ride a fan trip out of this station behind an SP Alco DL643H Diesel Hydraulic/EMD GP9 combination. My last trip into the station (even though the building itself was closed) was in 1999, when I stepped off an Amtrak California train from San Jose. The stop has since been replaced by the new facility in nearby Emeryville. This is an extraordinary image, Alex, thanks.
