There is a little bit more to this story. At some point prior to Sid's photo, Clinchfield trains started running through, North bound to Shelby yard. The Clinchfield used coal stoves in their cabooses, several of which were roughly handled by the L & N resulting in burned out cabs. The Clinchfield requested cupola type replacement caboses. The L & N which favored the bay window type cabooses, delivered the ex-Monon cars as replacements. This particular car now resides at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, in Versailles, Kentucky, Where I reside .
