Wow, there is so much to study in this picture! The RDC-1 in the top-center is a conversion from an RDC-3, and still has the ventilators over the former baggage-RPO section. Compare the roof to the unmodified RDC-3 to the right. The two baggage cars, seen among the locomotives, are power-baggage cars with HEP installed to permit the use of non-HEP-equipped locomotives, like those RS18s and the GP40, on Tempo trains. The pair of FP9s show original-owner CN's first two versions of the model. The unit with the small winterization hatch is typical of the first group, while the ultra-wide hatch covering two fans is from the second. (The third type, not shown here, has two 48" fans, with one covered in a long, narrower, hatch.) Also note that the GMD boosters had two steam generators mounted in the forward end, as opposed to one at the rear, as EMD provided domestically. By the way, those silver devices sitting between the two power-baggage cars, are locomotive load-testing boxes, concocted from the dynamic-brake hatches of three former CN CLC CFA/CFB16-44 C-Liner diesels. By the way, today's view from the CN Tower is that of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball stadium. Nice going, Don.
