If the derailment to which Donald is referring, was the head-on collision between a LV freight, with C628s, and a Jersey Central train, with Alco RSD4s, there were also two, brand-new, Lehigh & Hudson River C420s involved. L&HR numbers 23 and 24, were being delivered from the factory, via the Lehigh Valley train, and were damaged enough to be returned to Schnectady for rebuilding, before turning a wheel in revenue service! If so, it is then quite a coincidence that, in adjacent RailPictures photo 231106, that L&HR 24 sits behind sister 25, outside the Warwick shop, in another Haslel photo!

Wow, isn't history interesting? I recently visited this area, still rail action but nature is reclaiming with overgrowth.
