Alco S2 ! Well it started out as one when it left the factory, but that's not what it is now. Notice the opening in the front of this unit, that's for a radiator. As built S2s had larger radiators on both sides behind a solid nose. This locomotive probably has a Caterpillar or Cummens diesel of a much lower horse power. Many of these were used in small coal mines in Appalachia. These were called "Bug Slugs", and they do not make transition any longer, thus run very slowly.
