C&TS is one other line that has steam doubleheaders commonly. But, the trains and scenery look a bit diffrent. Great shot!

I rode the last train out of Durango just two days before this photo was taken. My train was right at 10 cars and was pulled by the 473. To think, if my train had just one more car or I was just two days later I could've experienced a scene that was even more spectacular than what I experienced! I literally was still cleaning cinders out of my eyes into the middle of the next day...and that was with just one engine! The small price the foamers pay when they ride both directions with their heads leaning out of the side of the open gondolas.
