I am just stunned Alex. Love how the fog contrasts with red sky. One of my favorite shots on rpics so far.

What's that? A train picture? I'd be curious to see the string of comments on this one...

That is a very cool shot! Looks like the world is about to be taken over! Good post!

Very neat shot, Alex. I've always loved fog bank shots like that one.

Nicely done, Alex. Kudos to you for innovation and creativity.

While the overall shot is impressive, I struggle to see how this is a train picture and makes it on the site as such. As a stand-alone picture, it is one of the coolest shots I've seen in a long time.

Definately one of the most unique shots on the site. Excellent work, Alex.

I can't see much of the train, but the cloud formations make this an amazing shot.

Nice shot!

I agree with many comments--the shot, WOW, amazing sky, an excellent catch. It's a shot to be proud of. But I still haven't found the train. (But I'll guarantee I've spent more time with this shot than any other on here in quite a while.)

Being a National Weather Service Spotter myself and loving trains as well, this shot has made my day. The clouds above the train make her seem so tiny in the real world. Great Shot!

The "triangle" of light in the bottom center is the head of the train.

Woah......this is too incredible to put in words. By far one of my favorite pictures on railpictures.

Outstanding shot. Actually impressive!

This is an extremely impressive shot, as are many of yours Alex. But I don't agree that this is a railpicture. This photo should be on the weather channel's web site, or the SFO chamber of commerce or something.

First off, great photo (train up close or not)! For everyone that is saying that this is not a rail picture. Are your lives that busy that you can not appreciate the overall beauty of this rail shot. There is a train. Sorry if it is not an up close shot. Every once and awhile, try to sit back and enjoy the overall beauty of something. When you rail, do you sit right on the tracks every time? Or does a train pass you by in the distance and you remark how beautiful the overall shot is? You all wish you could take pictures half as nice as Alex can.

This photo really pushes the envelope for placing the train within the context of its surroundings.
