There was a big article in a local Toronto paper that GO's fuel bill was through the roof this year to the tune of 13 million extra... High gas prices notwithstanding running trains like this doesn't help...

The double-set trainsets are only used in weekend service to maintain tighter schedules and weekend crowds.
