Wow. A line with TOFC and welded rail in the early 80s is now abandoned. I'm sure you're making people from the area jealous.

Virginia and North Carolina have been talking for years about putting this line back in for high speed passenger service for 20 years. Let's hope they do!

I live near this line in Raleigh NC it still see's a few daily trains but its nothing compared to what it used to be. I would love to see it restored to a main line some day!
