Awesome picture ! I normally don't pay attention to any american trains, but the tree in this one made me check it out. At first, from the thumb, I thought the car was being backed into the tree leaning it like that. Awesome shot, again !

It's strange, but I was drawn to this photo... The texture just has some magnetism in it, and the details are, well, captive. Beautiful shot!

What a piece of history. Surprised with scrap iron prices being so high these days....

I'd take one of those and put it in my front yard! Cool shot!

Wonderful image, Mitch. A testament to how long these cars have sat around without moving an inch.

Very spooky and surreal. I would imagine if someone tried to move them, they would disintegrate!

Beautiful, both of photo and remarks. You are not only a photographer. As well, you can be the excellent storyteller too!

Some see old cars and an abandoned line, I see potential for a heritage railway... or not? Just a random thought I suppose.

rather an amazing photo... America has so much space these cars can sit there for so long!

Excellent find, Mitch. Great job with the processing, too.

It is indeed a very strange feeling to stand aside of EBT cars like this. IF you are familiar with the history it is even more a strange feeling. I congratulate you on taking this shot and I know for a fact that there are many more interesting pieces of history that are sitting around the EBT area just like this!

Wish, the East Broad Top, would restore the line all the way to Mt. Union because this is the type of equipment i hate to see in this state. I hope ethire these hoppers either get sent to back to the East Broad Top Railroad or new homes or get restored for later use once the EBT once again runs to Mt. Union. :( :)
