Ladies and Gentlemen,we have our first candidate for the 2009 Darwin Awards. Showing an incredible lack of common sense, not to mention tacky fashion style,I think we can all agree this person's days on this earth are numbered.

Great photo & location. Yes, the pedestrian's life span will be a short one.

I notice Metra engineers usually do not spare the horn when they see a potential situation like this crop up. They don't want to witness another dead pedestrian.

You guys (not the photographer) talking about this guy and him possibly getting killed by a train like it's funny. I guess you don't know what it sounds like to hear a human body being rolled up under the trucks of a locomotive. Or maybe you've never walked back to find a legless, decapitated corpse that your train dragged across the ballast for half a mile. It's like sex, the conversation is academic until it actually happens. Then you stop being trivial about it, you'll never forget it. The engineer probably didn't even flinch, happens every day. Great shot nonetheless. Something about Railroading in the snow...I thought it was cool until I spent a winter working over Donner Pass. Yeah, I'll stick to the sunshine and palm trees thank you ;)
