How ironic that he is riding in a car named for a state that he lost in!

The Georgia 300 was built by Pullman as a sleeper-lounge-observation for the Crescent Limited as the General Polk, and assigned to the Western Railway of Alabama, as one of their contributions to the train's equipment pool. The Crescent ran over the Atlanta & West Point and W of A between Atlanta GA and Montgomery AL, and then the L&N on to New Orleans, LA. When replaced by lightweight equipment in 1949, this car was acquired by the Georgia, which was affiliated with the A&WP and W of A, and rebuilt into a business car in 1952. Today it is privately owned, and operated in charter service by First Coast Rail of Florida.
