My condolences for your loss. It's something that I just couldn't imagine, but I also want to express my thanks for your snapping this shot. I'd love to see more railroads do commemorative schemes like these.

Hopefully it will make you feel better knowing that this car does make its way around the country for all to see. I saw it here in Syracuse NY over the summer. Athearn also made a model of this car and they said that $1.00 from each sale would go toward Breast Cancer Awarness. I thought it was a great idea so I bought one.

Very sorry to hear about your wife. That's a very nice gesture for WSOR. God bless.

Rick I hope you are feeling better now. My wife Maureen discovered in August 2005 that she had breast cancer. After all that happened, she is now cancer free and still has some issues. In August 2007, I found out thru a colonoscopy that I had colon-rectal cancer. I am also cancer free now and back to a normal life. Its up to everyone to be aware that cancer can strike anyone, anytime, anywhere. Be safe, go to your doctor and have tests done. Do not let this disease take away the most precious thing we have, LIFE.

Our condolences on your wife's passing. My wife is a survivor of breast cancer and as I look at the picture I'm not sure what emotion would have hit me if I was in your shoes that day. Thanks for sharing and thanks to W&S for doing their part.

Rick, thanks for sharing this. One of my favorite nieces just underwent surgery for breast cancer (at 28). Please accept my condolences as well, and thanks for showing that railroaders, railfans, modelers- are good people.

Thank you for sharing this excellent photo Rick. At last count I have four breast cancer survivors as friends and I know what they have been through, yet I also wish to express my sincere condolences. I think it would be great if all the major railroads had at least one car painted like this.

Hopefully the graffiti taggers can leave at least this one car alone.

Sadly the Taggers have not left this car alone....A buddy took this shot a couple days ago.... https://www.flickr.com/photos/124756084@N08/19684649313/in/dateposted/
