That's amazing! I didn't even know they ordered these! Are they converted Gallery cars or did they order them from a manufacturer? If so, where from?

As I recall from several rides on the South Shore ( admittedly years ago) you had better have your " sea-legs" if you're planning to ride on the upper level.

The cars are brand new from Nippon Sharyo. They are basicaly the same cars Metra got in 2007. NICTD did make some modifications, most noticable are the additional lower level doors.
