Spectacular photo, Steve! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the gorgeous day; I was stuck in a training class and didn't even have the option of calling in "sick."

Unbelievable! Repeat, unbelievable. PC for sure, an instant favorite, and some extreme envy. Looks like a photo from Japan - how is it that we've never seen this location before? And I'm still waiting for Mt Rainier to "come out" on one of my Northwest trips! Superb, Steve.

Fantastic. I agree, Mitch, the thumbnail definitely looked a little like Mount Fuji.
|
A gorgeous picture Steve. Keep up the great work.

Excellent

My Gosh, I have to go all the way back to the 90's to think of an appropriate expression for this one. I'll give it the TV show Martin's, "DAMN GINA!!" Super sharp, great light, beautiful mountain, forrest, Puget Sound, and the whole train. Much respect.....

Great composition, but most importantly wonderful lighting.

Amazing Steve! A perfect capture, combining symmetry and pure beauty.

One word: Wow! Three letters: PCA.

Wow! What a shot, Steve. I have to say your picture not only deserves a PCA, but it deserves to be a wall paper. Great shot Steve.

Wow what a shot. I think you may have found the American version of the famous Mt. Fuji shot. PCA from me.

Saw this Photo of the Week coming, what a shot!

Steve,
Sorry I haven't posted a comment on your photo sooner, but Ross used the qoute that first came to my mind! This shot as well as so many others from you, and the many other PNW photographers on this site, proves why you all are among the best photographers in the country. Yes, you guys have amazing scenery, but if you don't know the area or have they eye, photos like this are not possible.

Perfect composition, perfect lighting, perfect staging. If AMTRAK started a poster/advertising competition; a sure winner. Thank you from all of us with lesser talents and just a touch of envy.
