I've viewed virtually every image of this special train that has been posted on this website, including photos taken while the train was en route to Oakland, at Oakland, and returning to Wyoming. There were many fine photographers along the way documenting this trip with excellent photos. Ms. Miller's photo is one of my favorites. First, she picked a very scenic location at Rock Creek, with a view of a curving trestle with the Feather River below. Second, the cold, wet weather turned out to be a great bonus, causing the 844 to produce lots of visible steam. I am indicating this photo as a Favorite.
