I'm a big fan of Espee's SD39's! Espee surely wasn't screwing around when they ordered these babies, knowing that they'd be put to some hard use on their mountain passes. Dual plows and light packages, super heavy by the standards of the day, turbos for better breathing at higher altitude and really high tractive effort numbers. These engines didn't think they could, they KNEW they could!
