I've also wondered. This is a very industrial area, and there seems to be no evidence of a right of way ever going through there. Thanks for the education.

I lived in the Chicago area and did not even know about this spot. Thanks for the insight. Are those new UP signals on the bridge or CNW signals? If they are CNW will the bridge be torn down after they are replaced?
