Union Station is definitely a must see for anyone that visits our nation's capitol - the restoration work was well done. I am always happy when train stations from the heyday of railroad travel are preserved and even better when they continue to be utilized.

Is there any D.C. resident viewing this that remembers the time in 1958 when a Pennsy GG-1 ran through the end of the track and landed in the basement? I was too young to be allowed down to take pictures.
