It used to run on the mainline between Melbourne and Wodinga, near Albury with about six loaded container flats in between the two "truck" sections, each of which would also take a container. I believe it is Volvo-powered.

This was a concept (perhaps borrowed from "Down Under") proposed by CSX in the late 1980's called "Iron Highway". I'm glad to see a prototype of this idea. I think that it would work out well on some regionals in the USA.

Origins are more European - this was a "dipping of the toe into the water" from maybe five years ago - it was the only one purchased from Europe of a proposed larger fleet, but the rest never eventuated.
