For those interested in pre-Amfleet Amtrak, the car nearest the camera is an ex-NYC 2900 series Budd coach, the next is an ex-Chessie Budd coach by way of the Seaboard, and later SCL, while the round-end obs, was converted for mid-train use by SAL after acquiring the car from the FEC (note the long letterboard) following the FEC strike. The diner was either ex-SAL or ACL, while the 10-6 ahead was SAL as well, and the Slumbercoach came from the CB&Q. The signal bridge obscures the identity of the first car type, or history.

See PhotoID 66880; first car is Amtrak 1522, former SCL/SAL baggage-dorm.
