Why is the detour line over the mountains then still used in 2009 ?? Posted by Balandin Dmitry on December 5, 2009  Exact length of a tunnel of 15343 metres, and detour - 63 kilometres. Detour is used only for workers and suburban trains. Passenger and cargo trains follow through a tunnel. But in days when in a tunnel repair or preventive works, a little the cargo direct through detour. We have appeared here just in such day. In a tunnel changed one of the arches.
