Isn't that a huge fine to cancel an order?

Looks like atleast someone can do a pretty good patch job, as apposed to others I've seen.

I can't wait to see this in the IAIS paint scheme, probably the best looking livery for the GEVO's!

This is sort of like the major league reject... it was so close to getting the "Class 1" status... it even got its "uniform" (paint), then at the last second it gets tossed. I feel sorry for the poor thing.

The Dark Future blue is beautiful when clean. :-)

Has anyone else noticed the door on the right side of the locomotive nose or am I going nuts?

That is a great observation cavranger. It is definitely on the wrong side.

That door isnt unusual. Some of the other ES44ACs in other albums and all of the BNSF ES44C4s have their doors on the right.

Moving the front door to the engineers side was a rolling change made in the last two years. the reason being if the loco derails and goes on the engineers side you have to crawl out the front door as the door behind the engineer would be buried. with the front door on the conductors side the door would be trying to close as you crawl out. with it on the engineers side it will tip open and you can safely crawl out.
