The tiedowns are just about the same as what the Lake Michigan carferries were using for decades.

Tie downs are exactly the same as was used 50 years ago on the ABC Barge out of Prince Rupert. I guess when you have a tool that does the job, why mess with it!

The UP job assigned to Harbor Island is normally an RC, but loading the barge requires such finesse that they call a REAL HogHead to do the job. This is one of my favorite jobs to work, because Kevin always buys lunch and we eat well!
