They've announced that by 2017 all of GO Transit's diesels will be rebuilt to Tier 4 compliance, so my money is on 614.

I've got one of those cars on the billboard - about 37mpg in city driving, mid 40s on the highway; but you're probably right about the GO unit.

Clearly it must be the car, as the locomotive was built in 2008.

Revisiting this my money's still on 614. First off, the operative word in my previous comment was "rebuilt", therefore the year is irrelevant. Secondly check the corporation that built the car. DAS LIAR! :D
