Ah to be out in California again...great shot Charles! To add to the thought of the Homeland Security situation, a couple of weeks ago I was up in Port Huron, Michigan, shooting the CN at the west end of the yard. A railroad cop came screaming in with lights flashing to check me out. I was on railroad property, so I was guilty. He was really nice about it but warned me that the next time it happened it would be a misdemeanor and would get expensive. I have to admit, I did not have very nice thoughts about the individuals who started this whole thing and wished that they and their like could 'go away...' Pretty bad when something you have been doing for decades all of a sudden gets nearly illegal.

I like the texture of the furrowed earth and how it contrasts with the rest of the subject matter of the frame. I am glad you left so much of that texture, rather than cropping it out - very nice.

Signature Southern California at it's finest. Hazy blue skies, agriculture, railroads, Eucalyptus and orange trees, and a rugged mountain range overlooking it all. A+

Well done Charles! I'm glad the law enforcement officers were good guys.
