Thanks for the memories Nick. I used to walk this track to Engineering classes from my Elder St apartment back in the '70's. Great shot, as are your others in that vicinity.

About a year ago or better,my children and I walked this stretch of track. We were at Duke hospital with my father-inlaw. I too am said to see the spur disappear.Thanks for the memories Nick. You do such a wonderful job with your photos. You are helping to preserve the railroad history in theses parts!!!

As good photos as they are, i hate seeing these shots. Now UGA is probably one of the last universities to get coal by rail, and its rumored that it may not last either.
