I think this train is one of 2 excursions Amtrak ran for Railfair 99 one of which I know went over Altamont pass & I think this is that train.

Yup, this is the special train used in conjunction with Sacramento's Railfair in '99. Amtrak F40 #231 is at the other end of this consist -- Joe, if you got photos of the 231, I would love to see them!
