Why spend "zillions" developing new single level passenger car designs ? Just take the old Budd blueprints off the shelf, dust em off, pencil in the Head End Power lines and build MORE of THESE Beauties.

Great shot! I'm in it, about 3 o'clock position, next to lady in pink...Sadly, I never got to ride 9 & 10 west of Minneapolis, even though I worked for Amtrak! Dumb!
