What's up with the narrow walkway behind the cab? I am presuming those "walls" are collision posts, but many railroaders are big dudes, and will not enjoy entering the cab from the back end.

This engine is currently (as of mid-2012) assigned to the GATX car repair facility adjacent to Union Pacific's West Colton Yard in Bloomington, CA. It is visible from the Pepper Street overpass.
