Having IC/ICG Paducah GP10s on piggyback trains P-50/52 (northbound) and P-51/53 (southbound) was always a treat because they sounded great in run 8 (mainly because of their "liberated" exhaust systems). Thanks for sharing Don.

While it is true that all three of these locomotives belonged to Illinois Central Gulf, the lead unit should be noted as "IC" instead of "ICG." Note the Illinois Central "split-rail" logo. While there were some exceptions, locomotives with the "split-rail" logo were lettered "Illinois Central" instead of "Illinois Central Gulf." ICG locomotives had the Illinois Central Gulf "Eyeball" logo (the "I" was solid, with no split).
