End of an Era... A sobering and historic moment you have captured here, Mr. Harper. While some may mourn the passing of this era, progress marches on whether we want it to or not. As a signal maintainer, I think I'm safe to say that the CSX maintainer who once maintained this US&S relic will not shed a tear. The new signals under his care will be so much safer to climb and so much easier to maintain. No longer will he have to deal with loose and worn light bulb sockets, stubborn locks and doors, narrow ladders and straining his back and legs to clean a lens or replace one. So, mourn if you must, but I can assure you the maintainer will not miss painting over the rust...

What happens to these signals once the RR takes them down. Do they scrap them or sell them off to the public?
