The tower is still standing (it was closed only a week ago), but the outlook is pretty grim for its long-term survival.

This Unit was damaged and catched on fire when it hit a trash truck on July 11, of 2011, when it was in service for the Downeaster,
and it will be scrapped, as what Wikipedia said. This Unit was scrapped just months after the Downeaster Inncident.

Looks like both the P42 and the Tower are toast. Sad ending to this photo on both counts.
