The two gentlemen in the cab would be the Hatcher brothers who always ran the "One Spot". The trailing diesel unit or units would be controlled via a set of hostler controls located above the engineers seat. Many fan trip passengers never questioned how such a small locomotive could pull such a long train. The normal diesels were "B" units that were painted coach green and had CLINCHFIELD in metal letters mounted on their side grills. The green "B" units were used in normal train operations when not in passenger service.
