Does anyone know what the tall (~10') devices are that are attached to some of the switchstands? Thanks!

I believe those stands are solar collectors. I am guessing from the gray boxes on the ground that the switches with the solar panels are electrically powered and can be thrown by the yard crews remotely via radio.

Those are posts holding solar panels to charge the batteries for the electric switch motor controls.
