Nice shot, Sid. Notice the front of the left side running board is crimped. Coming around "Bad Eye" Curve at the north end of the siding at Boody just three miles back, the overhanging boiler struck the vertical ribs on the hoppers of a northbound standing in the siding. After some anxious moments, it was determined everything was okay. The next morning, UP and CSX crews were installing a replacement fashioned at the CSX shop in Erwin through the night.
