CSX's Huntington paint shop has ZERO quality control. Just look at any widebody locomotive painted there, and it will become quickly apparent. Nose logos are the biggest problem. They are either placed way too high or way too low because certain individuals are too lazy to cut them around the grab iron bars on the front of the locomotive nose. Sometimes they are lopsided. Next problem is the cab numbers; they're almost never centered on the cab side, and the lightning bolts are almost always the wrong color and not centered under the cab numbers. Then the hood logos are almost always lop sided and either slope upward or downward; never level. (as evidenced by this one....The X is higher than the C) This problem needs to be addressed and I have written CSX several letters concerning this, but so far have not received a single response. The paint shop at Waycross, however, is top-notch... I haven't seen a bad looking YN3 unit come from Waycross all year long. This trend used to be the other way around with Huntington being top-notch.

I think it just looks nice as it's different. I don't know why you'd need to complain myself, but I understand your view all the same

Well the CSX letters on the engine side should be the easy ones to apply becouse you can get a good reference on the line or top edge of all the hood doors. There are some workers on railroads that they dont care about things like this one, saddly for them is just another work. Saludos TJ great catch.
