With two concrete lined tunnels on this Paris, Ky. to Maysville, Ky. line, the new paint scheme on the 5911 will not stay white very long. The roads first paint scheme was silver with a lighter blue trim and lettering, and it got very dirty very fast. Which is not a good thing on a road that is not known for frequent locomotive washings. The new scheme is very nice, but what were they thinking ? As can be seen in Mr. Scott's nice photo, this road changes paint schemes almost as fast as they change engines. Still all in all this railroad is a unique operation when it has no on line revenue producing shippers, and depends almost totally on moving offline coal to it's barge loader.

How can one argue with that? Nice photo and exquisite lighting, if the paint schemes are going to be mixed up you might as well have one of everything.
