Until Amtrak converted two of it's ex-CNW long distance Bi-Levels to cab cars, the trains ran with a locomtive at each end, so note the F40PH tacked on ther rear. Here the F40 was also providing the HEP, as this ex-Milwaukee E9, 434, is still a boiler-equipped locomotive.
