Posted by Robert Pisani on March 23, 2011  This photo is a perfect example of Conrail in the late 70s: a railroad dragging itself out of the mire from which it was created. A clean new SD40-2 leading hand-me-down power, all looking sharp in matching blue paint, and a fresh layer of ballast on the main. Great shot!
