I had the good fortune to live near the W&W during the 1980s. They were a GREAT SHOW to watch, and the crews and other personnel were VERY "Fan-friendly." The sounds of the ALCOs "down on their knees" dragging trains over the hills was truly something that had to be heard. Miss 'em.
