Seems like a great spot. I hear that if you're lucky enough here on a busy day, you can get one eastbound in the foreground, with the next two eastbounds visible in the distance.

James: There are three intermediate signals visible to the top of the last rise from this point - presumably some six miles; so if they're closed up awaiting entrance into town that could be the case. I have seldom seen the Transcon busier than this April. Fascinating country, as Bob notes.

I have been at this spot a few times. What is odd about this shot is the baretables are moving East bound. I don't think I've seen that on the Transcon. They always move West, but not this time. Great Shot!

Standing on a bridge in Winslow, Arizona, such a fine sight to see. It's a train, my lord, not a flatbed Ford, speeding up to get from sea to sea.
