SD45's in RJ Corman paint, very cool! Neat little setup, glad to see Corman has gone back to the old scheme, much better than solid red.

At first there were just the two SD-45s. Then the ex- L & N cabooses were brought in by low boy tractor trailers, I actually observed one of the cabs enter the yard. I believe the cabooses came from the Bardstown, Kentucky Line, as there were several of these that were used as spacer cars inserted between loaded plastic chip cars when crossing the high bridge between the Bardstown yard and the plastic using plant several miles east. The use of the cabooses for this purpose ceased when the air brake lines on them rusted out. Mr. Corman is rather well known for using surplus equipment as ads. In front of his main operations center in Nicholasville, Ky. there is an Ex-Clinchfield F-3 and an ex-Auto Train Budd dome car, under cover and lighted at night as are the items in Joe's photo. He also has four GP-16s and a caboose on display on his farm near the "ops ctr". On the "Old Road" in Midway, Ky. there was an ex- L & N caboose in the bank parking lot with a rapidly fading L & N paint job, which Mr. Corman had repainted as seen here with one exception. That exception being that in place of it's L & N road number, it now serves as a mile marker. Also in Lexington yard is the sign that preceded this one, it is an 86' red plug door box car, with R.J. Corman in large white letters. When this display is finished there will be perfectly kept grass, and it will be a very nice addition to the down town area.
