I think Jeremy intended to write Texas Eagle for this MoPac train, but even that is unlikely since the Texas train usually required two or three locomotives. With a diner right behind the E8, this is more likely the Missouri River Eagle from Kansas City. MoPac 41 was the last E-unit the road bought new, but they later added a 42, ex-B&M, and a 43, ex-C&EI E9m.

I think Jeremy meant to write Texas Eagle, not Chief, however that MoPac train usually required two or three E units. I believe this train, with a diner behind the locomotive, to be the Missouri River Eagle, a Kansas City–St.Louis schedule. While MoPac E8 41 was the last new E-unit purchased by the line, two higher-numbered units existed as E8 42, ex-B&M and E9, ex-C&EI.
