Question for you Dick. How accessable is this area? Is the spot / location of this shot easy to get to? Are the Railway and the crews accepting towards fans or is it a hostile envirnment? This outfit has always fascinated me, and with the repaints I might have to plan a trip out there depending on the answers to the above questions. Thanks.

Dick, I have enjoyed all your images of this interesting operation and this shot is my favorite as the mine completes the story of why this line exists. I like the extra lights on top of the units...reminds me of the old SP "wacky light" package!

Nicely captured, Dick; this is a perspective I haven't managed to capture (usually because I've been sitting around out at Holum Pass on sunny afternoons, waiting for the loads to pull). DPR 4 was shoved into the shop last week for its PM, presumably she's still in there.

I never really thought about it until now, but the cab design on those locos looks a lot like the old BQ23-7.
