Southern Peru's habit of pairing a four-motor GP40-2 with a six-motor SD60, reminds me of the Jersey Central, which favored running a six-motor SD35 or SD40 (ex-B&O) with a four-motor RS3 on freights, in the years just before becoming part of Conrail. The scenery, topography and consists, of course, differed greatly!
