Depending on where you start anywhere from 1/4 to a 1/2 mile. But I do not think I could ever explain how to get there. It is not exactly easy to find....It sometimes takes me awhile to locate it. Someday maybe I will get GPS coordinates...

Jake: A half-mile or so, fairly level, from the summit road. The tough part is knowing where to break off the crest trail and find the viewpoint... which I probably couldn't do again.
