When I first saw this photo, it reminded me of driving by the Century III Mall area just south of Pittsburgh. All that slag from the Homestead mills that was dumped there starting back in the late 1800's. They built "metal mountains" that today is benched off for constructing offices and buildings on it. It's good to see metal mountains are still being built somewhere in this world. Just a shame it left the Western Pa area and took 100's of thousands of jobs with it. Many of our ancesters worked there after coming to this country looking for the dream. And many of them were from Poland. Mine included.

I grew up in Michigan about 20 minutes south of Detroit. I remember seeing the sky glowing bright orange at night, especially on cloudy nights when the steel mills were in full operation...Zug Island and Great Lakes Steel...
